Hey guys this review is for a webtoon called "Asleep beside you", by Faith Arnott, who has a running webtoon right now called "To and From". "Alseep beside you", is a popular romance/fantasy webtoon that I quite enjoyed reading, there are 387 cchapters and an epilogue following the chapters of what happened next. The story is about two complete strangers who, one night meet each other in their dreams on a bed. Imagine waking up to a strange man or woman in your bed, sleeping next to you as you woke up. Shock would be the first reaction followed by a bunch of question or some people would think it's a dream and no way this can be real. Yet these people continue to find each other in their dreams and eventually, not being able to prevent this meeting they talk and in turn become friends. The shared dream space becomes a haven to them and a hiding spot from the troubles they face and soon they can't wait to fall asleep besides each other. But will this stay as a dream or will they make this friendship a reality? Read "Asleep beside you", though this link: http://m.webtoons.com/en/challenge/asleep-beside-you/list?title_no=35048 or visit it on the webtoon app.
The art was coarse and bold with dark colours for the majority of the webtoon. Which didn't contrast the story but brought across the darkness of the dream, which had a a bit of night like affect to the webtoon so it wasn't confusing to me whether it was real life or a dream. Also when it came to the sharing of bad feelings, the perpetual darkness someone feels when they think about those sad or depressing feelings and the enveloping yourself in the darkness that somehow feels comforting at times and scary at others. The illustrator does an amazing job at showing it through this webtoon. Don't worry it's not a webtoon that will have you confronting your deepest fear because it is a very nice, well paced love story. If you want something to read on a rainy day then check out "Asleep beside you".
